Open-Air Solidarity Iftar

During Ramadan, Yalla Nettaawnou brought together more than 3,000 people for an open-air solidarity iftar in Tangier in 2026. The gathering placed sharing, dignity, and human presence at the heart of a large community action.

Sharing a meal, strengthening solidarity

Food support is one of the most immediate forms of humanitarian action. For people facing fragile living conditions or limited regular support, access to a meal is not only a practical need; it is also connected to dignity and protection.

The open-air solidarity iftar created a shared moment around that principle. By gathering more than 3,000 people, the initiative gave visible form to a model of solidarity based on presence, organization, and direct support.

The event formed part of Yalla Nettaawnou’s broader commitment to organized field action. Before major interventions, the association works through coordination, field presence, and practical planning in order to reach people with structure rather than improvisation.

Across its humanitarian action, Yalla Nettaawnou reports 251,000 Ramadan iftar meals served. Behind that number are direct moments of support designed to bring food and care closer to people when they are needed most.

Presence where support matters

Yalla Nettaawnou’s approach is built on proximity and responsiveness. The association seeks to transform goodwill into useful, reliable, and visible support through disciplined preparation and direct intervention.

The Open-Air Solidarity Iftar reflects that approach: a large Ramadan gathering where solidarity became practical action through food, organization, community participation, and a shared commitment to dignity.
